Ayn’t Nothing Wrong with Wanting Satisfaction in the Bedroom
Ayn’t nothing wrong with wanting satisfaction in the bedroom. In fact, sexual health and satisfaction are proven to be critical to our quality of life! A healthy sex life positively affects our mood, relationships, and even cardiovascular health. Let’s break it down:
Did You Know?
Older women with sexual satisfaction are less likely to have high blood pressure.
Frequent sex (1-2x per week) leads to an improved immune system.
It reduces the risk of prostate cancer.
It’s a natural way to relieve stress.
It improves sleep.
PLEASURABLE sex (because if you’re not enjoying it, then you’re not reaping the benefits) releases some of our favorite mood-improving hormones:
Dopamine (our reward boost)
Oxytocin (our love button)
Serotonin (our “happy” hormone)
There are a few more worth mentioning, but these are the ones we can all readily identify when satisfaction is on the table.
Breaking Down Barriers to Pleasure
Can you imagine having a medical or mental health condition that inhibits your ability to achieve sexual satisfaction, even though it so clearly improves our lives? The good news is that there are options to break down the barriers presented by physical and mental health disorders, including medical equipment. And trust me, there’s so much more out there beyond just Viagra and Cialis!
If your provider thinks negatively of you because you have questions about sexual satisfaction options, then it’s time for a second opinion.
